Dottie Jane
An asymmetrical triangle shawl knit on the bias with delicate, textural stripes of eyelet ridges, two-color brioche, and traditional lace. The colors and stitch patterns used were inspired by both my grandmother, Dottie, and Heather from Sew Happy Jane’s grandmother, Hattie Jane.
Gauge: 19 sts x 24 rows = 4” / 10cm; measured in even two-color brioche stitch (taken after blocking)
Finished Measurements: 75” / 190.5 cm long and 34” / 86 cm deep, measured after blocking
Materials Used: 775 yds / 709 m Fingering / Sock weight yarn, tapestry needle, row counter, locking stitch marker or cable needle for decreasing brioche stitches
Needle Size: 32” / 81 cm or longer US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle
