Marieke Hat
The Marieke hat is a pattern with a very nice colorwork design (accessible to beginners) on the entire body of the hat. It features a large brim that needs to be folded in half and a large pompom.
Gauge: 23 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch in 3.75 mm/US 5 (or another size to get the gauge)
Finished Measurements: Baby, child, (Adult 1, 2); Circumference 38, 42, (46, 52) cm; After blocking, without stretching, is suitable for a head circumference of 40-46, 46-50, (51-55, 56-60) cm
Materials Used:
- DK weight Yarn: about 80, 105, (155, 180) meters for the main colour and 25, 28, (30, 40) meters for the contrasting colour
- Stitch markers
- Waste yarn to put the stitches on hold
- Tapestry needle
- A pompom
Needle Size:
- 3.75 mm/US 5
- 3.5 mm/US 4 needles for the ribbing
