Sample is shown in Size 2 on a 35”/89 cm bust.)

Materials Used: Worsted Weight in 2 colors:

  • MC - 615 (665, 732, 774, 834)(892, 957, 1037) g; 1288 (1398, 1539, 1626, 1753)(1874, 2010, 2178) yds; 1178 (1278, 1407, 1487, 1603)(1713, 1837, 1992) m
  • CC - 150 (166, 183, 193, 200)(223, 239, 259) g; 450 (500, 549, 580, 600)(669, 717, 778) yds; 411 (456, 502, 531, 548)(612, 656, 711) m

Needle Size:

  • Main Fabric: US 7/4.5 mm - 32”/80 cm to 40”/100 cm circular and pre- ferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs)
  • Sleeve Fabric: US 8/5 mm - Preferred needles for small circumference (Magic Loop or DPNs) OPTIONAL - In my experience, I have found that most of us knit tighter when working small circumference (IE sleeves) than larger circumference (IE body). Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend checking your sleeve gauge to make sure it is has not tightened up too much, resulting in sleeves that will be too small. If your gauge has tightened, I recommend going up a needle size (or more) to continue in the gauge required for this sweater.
  • Ribbing: US 5/3.75 mm - 32”/80 cm to 40”/100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting. You may want a longer cord of 40”/100 cm to 60”/150 cm for knitting the shawl collar.
  • *Note: Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge, and size down 2 needle sizes for ribbing.

Pattern Includes: Written & Charted Instructions

Skill Level: Advanced

I love a good shawl collar cardi! This bottom up, raglan cardigan gives a classic look a twist with all-over colorwork. Spark is knit in the round and then steeked and finished off with a garter shawl collar and cozy belt to keep out those wintry winds!
