Box Zip Bag
The Box Zip Bag pattern is designed for intermediate beginners who are comfortable with basic stitches and techniques and who would like to learn a common method for inserting a zipper. This pattern assumes you can set up your sewing machine, sew a standard straight stitch, and maintain a relatively accurate seam allowance.
When finished, View A (toiletries bag) measures 10" x 6.75" and View B (dopp kit) measures 8" x 4" x 3.25". Both bags are made from a heavier or home decor weight fabric and are interfaced & lined. Instructions included for optional pull tabs made from 1" twill tape.

Recommended Fabric:
- Main fabric: lightweight canvas, cotton/linen canvas, twill, denim, home decor weight cotton, home decor weight sateen.
- For lining: quilting cotton, chambray, lightweight denim, lightweight laminated cotton.
Materials for View A:
- 3/8 yard main fabric
- 3/8 yard lining fabric
- 3/4 yard woven fusible interfacing (20" - 22" wide)
- one 12" standard non-separating zipper (nylon or poly, will be cut to fit)
- optional: 1/4 yard of 1" wide twill tape
