I'm The Rock by Shanalines Designs | This is a classic hat design worked in garter stitch with a snazzy twisted stitch detail for some pizzazz. It looks great with a pompom on top, if that’s your style. I designed it to be gender neutral and appealing to knitwear lovers of all ages! The stretch accommodates many head sizes, making this a great gift project. The garter stitch is quite stretchy!! Modify the overall height to create a looser or tighter fit.
Gauge: 18 stitches and 36 rounds = 4″ (10 cm) n garter stitch in the round with larger needles
Finished Measurements:
- Baby: 16”(40 cm) for head sizes 15”-18”(38-46 cm)
- Child/Small Adult: 19” (47 cm) for head sizes 18”-21” (46-53 cm)
- Large Adult: 21” (53 cm) for head sizes 21”+ (53 cm+)

Materials Used: Malabrigo Rios, 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 210 yd / 192 m per 100 g
Needle Size: US 5 (3.75mm) circular knitting needles, 16” (40 cm) cord & US 7 (4.5mm) circular knitting needles, 16” (40 cm) cord and 32” (80 cm) cord OR double-pointed needles for crown decreases
