Prairie Lace Hat by Knit Graffiti Designs | A fuzzy, dreamy, delicate lace hat, knit using a combination of two-color brioche lace, a ribbed brim and a bit of stranded color work.
Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in two-color brioche lace stitch in the round (taken after blocking)
Finished Measurements: One Adult size: 18” / 45.5 cm circumference and 9.5” / 24 cm height (taken after blocking)
Materials Used: Fingering weight held together with lace weight (yardage listed is for each weight); or DK weight yarn held single, tapestry needle, row counter, stitch marker for noting beginning of round, cable needle or stitch marker for use with decreasing sts, 6 contrasting stitch markers for dividing lace sections
Needle Size: 16” / 40.5 cm US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle for the brim and body of the hat; 40” / 101.5 cm (for Magic Loop method) or DPNs of the same size for the crown shaping.
